Arquette is charmingly endearing as the frustrated Jeanne, Wilson movingly conveys his character's vulnerability as well as his bluster and McLean is terrific as the beleaguered young girl desperate to have a mane like Farrah Fawcett's.

This movie tried so hard to be boring and gross, and it succeeded, but not in an interesting way (like John Waters). Nobody was believable. Nobody was endearing. Nothing was learned or revealed It was just a complete waste of time.

Other than the protagonist, there isn't much to enjoy about this movie. It's mostly depressing, and my wife and I were hoping for a little laughter or fun.

Surprisingly Permanent was a great film and actually fun and enjoyable. I think for now on anytime RT has terrible scores 50% or lower for any movie that the audience score is at least 75% or higher that I will definitely give the movie a chance because RT just seems to have very bad critics.
