A mysterious figure stalks a pop star when she becomes an actor on a television show.

Critics Consensus

Perfect Blue is overstylized, but its core mystery is always compelling, as are the visual theatrics.

This engrossing animated thriller somehow displays realist gore, nudity, and sexual violence in a tone not too far from that of a children's adventure; its innocence stems in part from the convincing naivete of the heroine.

I actually felt like I was losing my mind myself. This wasn't a movie - this was an insanely intense experience.

This movie was great! Gave me a sense of 90's nostalgia with the way of voice acting, drawing, and visual appeance of the film. I look forwared to finding more films like this whetther from the ninties or if someone in year 2019 and forward, can make these type of films again.

Really beautiful animation paired with a great story that even served as inspiration for 2010's Black Swan.

An anime(or manga?) that seems like a pretty straight forward crazed stalker/murder case, but ends up going with an interesting twist. This one's definitely not for the kiddos.
