...ultimately, 3/4 of Peacock is probably more compelling than 4/4 of a lot of a lot of other flicks you'll come across. Go to Full Review

While the film can't measure up to its psychologically bent scenario, it's still an intriguing choice at the local DVD store or on-demand service. Go to Full Review

4/5
Unlike a lot of cinematic peeks into the world of dissociative identity disorder, the script by Lander and Ryan O Roy doesn't spend a lot of time examining the "why" of John Skillpa's life but rather focuses on the ramifications of the "how". Go to Full Review

Aug 5, 2018 Cillian is brilliant in this film. The directing also deserves praise, but Cillian and Sarandon were amazing. Page's role didn't give her enough room to shine, but she too is quite good. this is an important film in exposing how child abuse damages the psyche, yet it also presents the idea that the human spirit can protect itself in unexpected ways. Abraham S Jul 20, 2018 Peacock might just be the most underappreciated movies I have ever seen in my life. The fact that it was straight to DVD is heartbreaking, as more people needed to see it. It stars Cillian Murphy(arguably the most talented male actor working today) as someone suffering from a split personality. Nobody knows that he suffers from this, however, until an incident changes everything. Murphy is joined by Ellen Page(arguably the most talented actress working today) and Susan Sarandon. Page is great here as well, and Sarandon is serviceable in a smaller role. This is a movie that is sort of a mix between Split and Lars and the Real Girl, which if you have seen those movies, is a good thing. The only aspect of the film that I did not like was the ending, however the alternate ending on the DVD is much better. Peacock has an incredible script, boast fantastic performances, and should be seen by anyone who is a fan of film See more
Rey P Nov 9, 2017 What a weird movie. This is really out there, but it's more because of its ability to steer around cliches than anything else. Cillian once again makes a more beautiful woman than I'll ever be, and plays it so natural and normal- Emma is definitely a woman, born out of trauma but trying to do better. On the other hand, John is stuck in his trauma and unable to escape it. In that sense it's an interesting movie about a cry for help that ends up being heard and fixed by the one doing the pleading. That's also what makes it so odd... this is the strangest self-help split personality movie I've seen. But that's perhaps where Peacock succeeds... instead of an evil personality, you have a more confident and more competent helper. Perhaps we could all use that type of problem... See more
