I've always maintained that Bharadwaj is great with set-up and dwindles as a finisher. Happy to be proved wrong this time around. Pataakha's ending is a cracker.

Way too many directors have managed to capture the essence, dialect and inherent charm of rural India, but Vishal Bhardwaj takes it one step further with Pataakha.

Trust Vishal Bhardwaj to get to the root of India-Pakistan enmity plus crack Bollywood's star system, both with one stone.

Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha understands this language of sisterhood, where throwing abuses, insults, and jabs at each other is par for the course.

Much like his protagonists, Bhardwaj doesn't know when to cut it short and walk away.

Pataakha is like a cracker, its bright, loud, leaves fumes smoke and not to everyone's taste but a delight to watch none the less. The plot revolves around two sisters who are always bickering, the slangs they use and their rowdy fights are a treat to watch but does get stale after a time. The cast and their performances are fabulous but the story and script needed more content.

Alright #Pataakha needs alot of love. Its perhaps the best Bollywood film I would have seen in the recent times. Its #vishalbharadwaj 's best ever. I can't express how lovely were performances. This one for me was #bestediting #bestbackgroundscrore #bestactingincomicroles #bestdialogues #mostoriginalscreenplay #bestdebut (#radhikamadan). Please watch it if you haven't seen it yet.
