Snobbish and wealthy Joanna Stayton is living a life of leisure with her husband, Grant, when she falls off their yacht and suffers amnesia. Grant takes the opportunity to rid himself of the demanding Joanna -- but Dean, a widowed carpenter with four kids who once worked for Joanna, arrives and claims she's his wife. Joanna can't remember her past identity, but has trouble believing that she was ever meant to be a working-class mother of four.

Hawn and Russell make a cute couple, and Overboard has a fair amount of charm. Like a lot of movies these days, it takes this one too long to end, but up until the last 20 minutes or so, it is a moderately entertaining, old-fashioned formula comedy.

This movie is a cult classic. Goldie hawn is amazing and she has done another wonderful job in this film.

This is an average film- which is shocking since both Russell and Hawn are so likeable. Nothing here folks, just a boring movie about a rich spoilt woman who loses her consciousness in an accident and ends up marrying a redneck and his family. Though both Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are more than competent the film never really picks pace and sort of trudges along. There are some laughs to be had but all in all this is a moot film, a simple cash grab in my opinion. If you really want to watch a comedy there are far better options out there.(One time watch at best).

Overboard stars real life couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Some adjectives such as cute, charming and sweet can be applied to the film. Hawn plays a rich spoilt heiress who has an accident on her boat rendering her unconscious and at a loss of identity. Russell brings her home to mother his kids and take care of things. As expected hilarity and confusion ensues. This is a nice little movie- wholesome family entertainment and a reminder of fun innocent times. Go watch it if you need to see something funny yet heartwarming.(Cute and Adorable rom-com).
