When a spacecraft crashes in Norway during the Iron Age, two figures emerge from the wreckage: Kainan, an alien soldier, and the Moorwen, his mortal enemy. The latter immediately starts cutting a path of destruction through the Norse lands, while Kainan sees a chance to meld his advanced technology with ancient Viking weaponry to destroy the Moorwen before it destroys Earth.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Schizophrenic in subject and lackluster in execution, Outlander might have trouble finding the cult audience for which it was built.

A film version of fish and chips - humble, honest fare that's ludicrous, inventive, gory within limits, and has a cast having so much fun it's hard not to be swept along with them. And besides, you can't have nouvelle cuisine every night of the week. Go to Full Review

Sadly, the kooky premise of Outlander solidifies quickly into formula: monster is fought, fair maiden won, kingship gained and past errors redeemed with no real surprises along the way. Go to Full Review

Finn S Mar 20, 2019 I thoroughly enjoyed this not sure why it was so rubbished. Saying that I enjoyed it from the comfort of my sofa with takeaway food and I do recommend it for mindless entertainment. Good storyline, aliens and vikings , great combo. Limited scriptwriting abilities and pretty decent acting for me See more
Finn W Jan 4, 2019 So you're telling me that there were no more weapons or armor left on your ship.....what about the armor you crashed with what happened to that? Poorly built story could of been better, had an obvious ending. See more
Hermione S Oct 15, 2018 An entertaining SciFi staged during the Viking Age equals a win=win!! Good effects and plot line; great work from the cast & crew!! See more
Leia S Oct 13, 2018 Switched off after 30 minutes. Pretty boring up until then.
George S Aug 3, 2018 Fun movie that's clever sci-fi spin on Beowulf. Honestly better made than most blockbuster sci-fi flicks these days.
Poe S Jul 22, 2018 This movie was fun, seemed a little bit low budget but if you let yourself get past that it's a fun ride.
