After learning how to surf by using the local wave tanks, Arizona resident Rick (Matt Adler) uses his winnings from a recent contest to fly to Hawaii and try to make a living for himself as a professional wave rider. He gets off to a rough start, as he finds riding the ocean a lot different from the simulated waves back home, but he soon finds a mentor in the aging surf guru Chandler (Gregory Harrison) and a friend in local girl Kiani (Nia Peeples).

"North Shore" keeps threatening to expire from sheer brainlessness. But then along comes an evening vista that shows how Sunset Beach got its name, or a crash of waves that looks like a living Hokusai, and you realize summer is still very much with us.

This is a excellent movie. A fun and an uplifting story about honesty and respect. The whole cast is brilliant. The direction and editing top notch. Hawaiian scenes are heavenly. And Nia Peeples is just jaw dropping gorgeous and beautiful.

Greatest movie ever created. Turtle is the best and most complex movie character that has ever been brought into existence and that's a fact. Once you start this movie you get emotionaly attached to it. Like I literally can't explain the intricate feelings I have for this movie. I'm overwhelmed by emotion because I thought that the perfect cinematic performance would never be possible to create, but after watching this beloved film, I have realized I've been wrong all along

The true but not that well-known story of Cape Fear Academy History teacher Mark Campbell. Great guy and great history teacher who still enjoys surfing and started a school kids contest in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Synopsis
