Anakin R Feb 14, 2019 Strengths: The premise behind this movie is one that sets up a lot of suspense and tense moments. And honestly, we do get a handful of those. Thatâ(TM)s when the movie is at its best. Watching the characters attempt to get out of their terrible situation and race against the clock is fun. Russell Crowe (John Brennan) and Elizabeth Banks (Lara Brennan) both give strong performances that showcase their desperation and vulnerability. A lot of the actors with smaller roles, like Liam Neeson (Damon Pennington) and Daniel Stern (Meyer Fisk) also do well. Weaknesses: This is a bloated film. It has no business being over two hours. That forces them to pad the runtime out with a lot of dull moments. Olivia Wilde (Nicole) is fine in her role, but thereâ(TM)s not really a need for her character. Sheâ(TM)s just there and takes up a fair amount of time. Thatâ(TM)s the case with a lot of scenes in this movie, as they just donâ(TM)t feel like they have a purpose. It makes for a muddled script which does no favors to the film. Ultimately, thereâ(TM)s not enough of the tense stuff and too much of the boring stuff. Overall: This wastes some good acting and an intriguing setup. Thereâ(TM)s a really good 90 or so minute movie in there. It just gets bogged down by tacking on another 40 minutes of nothing. Rey G Jun 13, 2018 A movie that starts off rather perky but then spends about an hour with very little change in pace or tone. Thankfully the final act is engaging enough and just plausible enough to lift your interest and the ending is befitting of the movie as a whole. See more

Draco L Feb 9, 2018 I really enjoyed this movie alot as I am into thrilling movies. Although sometimes a tad predictable I still really enjoyed following this story and seeing Russell Crowe play as a faithful husband. I still watch this every once in awhile. Love it. See more

Hagrid L Dec 29, 2017 Plenty of innocent persons are sent to prison. This movie is a family sent to the edge by an injustice. About a husband and father deeply in love and willing to do what he can. I found it deeply satisfying. Russell Crowe as just a man rising above. An average man can become a superhero when their loved ones need them. Whether it be engaging in everyday life or saving a life. I loved the story and the acting. Satisfying. See more

Dec 12, 2017 I really liked this film a lot! It seems very implausible but it could really happen. Many movie critics say it could have been so much more with the talent in it. But it was good! See more

Kylo L Aug 21, 2017 Very slow to get going and you are left waiting for it to kick off far too long. Meanders along for a good while before picking up your interest but watchable all the same as you don't really know until the end how it's going to pan out! See more
