Whether it happened by chance or design, the sketches have more than just New York in common: all three have something to do with middle age, as well as with romantic relationships. Go to Full Review

Only Woody Allen seems to have understood what is possible in a featurette. Go to Full Review

It's still too early to tell whether the cheering New York Stories will be a box-office hit, but one can hope. Go to Full Review

Scorsese's contribution, on the other hand, is a superbly controlled drama focusing on artist Nick Nolte's relationship with his muse, Rosanna Arquette. Go to Full Review

Scorsese's is good, Coppola's is bad, and Woody Allen's is exceptional. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Poe G Jul 7, 2017 Coppolla's story was horrible. I hated that girl and the storyline. Skip it. Woody Allen's story was good, but what was with the head floating in the air? Just dumb. Scorcese's story was by far the best and my favorite. Rosanna Arquette is usually annoying but I liked her in this movie. Nolte was awesome. See more
Han R May 15, 2017 Three short stories, one each directed by Scorcese, Coppola, and Woody Allen. The first story is lacklustre starring Nick Nolte as an artist obsessed with his attractive assistant. The second is a dull tale of a mature girl about 12 years of age who charms her friends and parents. Finally, Woody Allen stars as a lawyer who can't seem to escape his mother. I'm not a fan of Allen but his segment was pretty good and the best of the three. See more
Luke S Jan 7, 2017 Three stories directed by very high profile directors one of which can pull of a short film and the other two who sort of fail. The Woody Allen one does make this well worth a watch. You can spend the rest of the film cameo spotting. See more
