The earlier, fairly crummy picture now seems like FW Murnau's Sunrise when set beside the blitzkrieg of awfulness that is Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! Go to Full Review

Slack and savvy in equal measure, and a guaranteed hit. Go to Full Review

Silly, goofy and pretty groanworthy. But it is unpretentious and is, after all, aimed at very young children. Go to Full Review

Adorable misfits on zany Xmas adventure; some potty humor. Go to Full Review

It might actually be funnier if you haven't seen the first film, but I'm not in a position to say--only that it's disappointingly similar to the original, and suffers from the comparison. Go to Full Review

After 2009's inane comedy Nativity, no one was clamouring for a sequel, but at least this one tips the scales into sublime silliness. Go to Full Review

Finn R Dec 21, 2018 Nativity 2 will not be everyone cup of tea due to its unsophisticated plot, silliness and campy presence. Nonetheless I enjoy this film and get a kick out of every viewing despite it not reaching the levels of the first with Martin Freeman and it always fills me with a festive feeling which all Christmas films should provide. Marc Wotton has a ton of fun as Mister Poppy and his stupidity really makes me laugh and David Tennant effortlessly plays Mr Peterson. The chemistry between characters fills natural and the humour is always frequent and funny and allows the pupils to be themselves. The plot is extremely stupid but adventurous therefore it provides family fun due to its cheesiness, however, it is thinly written and leaves logic gaps and a few holes. Additionally, The Song For Christmas contest goes on for too long and gets boring whenever St. Bernadette's aren't on screen. But overall, Nativity 2 isn't quality filmmaking and will not be enjoyed by some people because it's so bonkers but the film embraces that and makes a film that can be enjoyed by many people, especially U.K residents as the movie is set here in Britain. It is a shame that they had to make more of these without most of the original cast members. See more
Hagrid P Oct 12, 2018 A groovy sequel. I liked the bits with the guy who was Doctor Who.
Albus W Jan 17, 2014 I don't think most people realize this was an unscripted, improvised film. For that alone it deserves some credit and explains the sparse dialogue (to an extent). I think they should have given David Tennant more free rein to exercise his stellar comedic chops. Allowing Marc Wootton to be the main focus dragged the film down. I expected far more witty repartee. Still, it was enjoyable enough Christmas fun for the kiddoes. Sure, it was corny and implausible and had a few too many fart and poo jokes, but consider the targeted audience. The children were delightful and the singing and dancing were fun and entertaining. I think the critics have been too harsh. See more
