Rey L Jul 22, 2018 In fairness apart from the overlong flashbacks that link this film to the 1st, it has a really good story. The mummy never died in the original film and is summoned up to kill those who violated the tomb! Not a bad story really. Very enjoyable. See more
Rey W Jul 1, 2018 This is a worthless sequel to the excellent The Mummy's Hand. After spending 10 minutes recapping the plot of The Mummy's Hand, the movie then plods through a by the numbers horror movie. No interesting characters (the great duo from the last movie are turned into cardboard cutouts here) and lon Chaney's Mummy isn't as good either. Poor effort. See more
Finn M Jun 22, 2018 Another soporific Mummy episode, notable only for the fact that no-one thinks of actually running away from the limping pile of mouldy bandages. The first ten minutes is just a repeat of the previous movie and the finale is the usual Universal townsfolk with torches nonsense. How Lon Chaney got top-billing is the only mystery. See more
Harry W Jun 15, 2017 Once again the production design and make-up is fantastic, Chaney is excellent as the titular character but many will have issue with the setting changed to America, which I wasn't exactly impressed with but did bring another dynamic to the overall picture. The connective tissue to the its predecessor is welcoming and adds great depth, then again it tells the story of said film within the first 10 minutes. The climax is ripped straight out from The Bride of Frankenstein and rather annoying with the grand scheme of the franchise. See more
Hermione L Jan 1, 2017 The first 10 minutes or so are all highlights from the superior previous movie. Then we are treated to the deaths of the surviving members of that film. The new heroes are boring and get far less time time to make an impact. Regardless, Chaney is more than serviceable as The Mummy. I just wish he had more interesting heroes to thwart him. The saving grace is the fiery ending sequence. See more
