Although Larry (James Belushi) has a comfortable middle-class life -- married to his teenage sweetheart (Linda Hamilton) and in an executive position at a sporting goods firm -- it still rankles him that he struck out in the last at-bat of his high school baseball championship. When he stumbles into an unfamiliar bar on his 35th birthday, the bartender (Michael Caine) fixes Larry a special cocktail that sends him back to that pivotal moment, allowing him the life he thought he wanted.

The movie is a slow march through foregone conclusions, and its curious passivity is underscored, if that is the word, by the quietest soundtrack I can remember. Go to Full Review

Albus R Mar 21, 2019 light hearted comedy, that does what it sets out to do.
Harry S Dec 15, 2018 If you go into this movie expecting to see a good, light-hearted, "what would have happen if" movie, you will enjoy it.
Ron S Oct 6, 2017 There are flaws but it makes this film a little adorable because of it, also Belushi's and Hamilton's performances are certainly good here. Michael Caine can't be ignored either. See more
Luke P Aug 27, 2017 A much overlooked but great movie that a lot of people have never seen. Jim Belushi is delightful as Larry Burrows. The movie promotes a life lesson about friendship and the grass not always being greener on the other side in a content suitable for children making it a fun family film. See more

George M Jan 24, 2011 A mild comedy with Jim Belushi seeing what his life could have been like under different circumstances. It's been done before, but it was still watchable. (First and only viewing - 6/5/2017) See more
