What to Know

Critics Consensus

Mood Indigo is far from Michel Gondry's most compelling work, but it doesn't skimp on the visual whimsy and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect.

It's a mildly interesting romance portrayed by two solid actors that is largely overshadowed by its gimmicky effects. Go to Full Review

Gondry has such an incomparable understanding of the way in which strange and unexpected sights can tickle you. What he sometimes lacks as a filmmaker is the awareness that he can tickle an audience to death. Go to Full Review

Harry R May 25, 2018 It was weird and broke many rules. A movie that didn't explain it self or care about the audience it seemed. Refreshing, silly, deeply felt work of artistic sideways thinking, setting and quirk. Wondrous. One of my all time favourite movies from the first scene. See more
Albus P Jun 4, 2017 Mesmerizing. It seemed like a remake of Tatou's "Amelie", at first, but then went in a very different place. The use of music to carry the theme and action seduced me. See more
Theodore R Jun 13, 2014 I was quite excited to watch this. When it started I thought, "oh its a charming quirky dream sequence" but it just went on for 94 minutes like this. Its very imaginative but for me, the style was just too frantic for a whole film. See more
