Von Hoffman brings some admirable oomph, as well as a good understanding of the many ways that criminals - both poor and rich - exert dominance.

Gleefully gory and darkly funny, Monster Party is the sort of extreme genre exercise that separates real fans from mere dilettantes.

Pretty effective and rather fun, if you have the stomach for this sort of thing.

Monster Party is a fun, gloriously gory romp into the fetishes and entitlement of the upper crust.

While Monster Party seems to want to come off as something else than a horror movie at the start, but once it gets fully into horror territory, it becomes really fun and full of insanity.

Goddamn, I love this deranged world that Chris von Hoffmann has created. It's crazy, violent, a bit shocking, and a lot of fun.

Knows what it wants and goes for it, but could really have done with better cameras... and editing... and effects... and dialogue... and acting...

This film is a must watch! It's incredibly entertaining and non-cliched! The performances by well-known actors like Julian McMahon, Virginia Gardner and Erin Moriarty, to name a few, are solid all the way around. Definitely not your typical horror flick. The director does a great job at building up climax while maintaining elements of suspense throughout the film. If you are a fan of the genre you will definitely enjoy the crazy kills! And if you are not a horror film fan you should still give this film a shot. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best of balenced movie with low budget. Both artistic and entertaining. The movie reminded me think of our society. What are the really monsters in our life? What are the main fears of our human being? Give this a shot.

Another entry into the overcrowded 'burglars bite off more than they can chew' horror genre. This one however, is so brilliantly handled and gradually becomes ever more gleefully silly that it's almost a breath of fresh air. There's more than a hint of early Peter Jackson here.
