What to Know

Critics Consensus

Exhausting when it should be thrilling, Mine squanders a committed performance by Armie Hammer with slack suspense and unfocused storytelling.

Every time that Mine threatens to come apart under its own pretensions (which is relatively often), Hammer does something subtle and believable to ground it. Go to Full Review

For a film that's built on such a banger of a premise, Mine never leaves Mike alone for too long, robbing it of the tension and terror that made Mike's early solitary moments hit so hard. Go to Full Review

The film is often a marvel of visual and narrative resourcefulness. Go to Full Review

Regrettably, the peril grinder of “Mine” pounds its not-so-thinly-veiled metaphors repeatedly and insufferably into the ground. Go to Full Review

Both the narrative exposition, an inner drama that is reflected on the outside, and the cinematographic tools offer an intense, reflective and conscious perspective on the condition of the man trapped in himself. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

George M Apr 17, 2019 I like it a lot!! It´s a great movie for me!
Mar 27, 2019 Terrible, unrealistic, and depressing.
Finn P Mar 25, 2019 This movie was bad it could have been something good but it just was bad. This story starts off with a Marine soldier that is been on this mission for days or weeks. He has been out there looking for this "High target" and he is about to take the shot, but he does not cuz he just feel like it would be rude to ruin a wedding. They then have to run away from the rebels and they get away. That is where the story ends. Well, the movie does not end but the story ends. The move goes on where they guys just run away and then they goto this land mine field. The first guys acts like a smart a** and just steps on mine when they just got a warning. They the second guy trying to save him somehow activates a mine that the first guys did not step on. Then he just stands on the mine for the next 1h and 30mins of the movie and you never find out if it was all just a dream or if it was a dead mine or what happens you just see him back in the airport. Abraham S Mar 19, 2019 TRASH. first half is bomb no pun intended. then somewhere along the way they just.... lose interest? as if someone tried throwing ideas of where to take the movie at a wall just to see what might stick. absolutely waste of an hour and a half. 0 stars!!!! See more
Mar 17, 2019 I am actually disapointed in the reviews this movie got. The man is stuck on a "Mine" for over 52 hours, battleing thirst, hunger, animals, and hallucinations. You cant pack much action into it, im sorry. But its an amazing movie. You get to watch as our main character struggles and fights to stay as awake as he can so that he can live to see his fiance. It really is a great movie. If you want blood, gore, and action, this isnt your movie. If you want to see a soldier battle the elements and push through the pain to live another day, this is the movie for you. See more
Rey G Mar 15, 2019 ripoff of 127 hours in every way. after 40 minutes of hallicinations and cutaways that dont add to the storyline i was ready to turn it off. there is only about 15 minutes of actual storyline. could have been a good movie if it was about half as long. See more
