Match's slightly wooden trajectory is compensated for by Patrick Stewart's compelling performance as the brash, outwardly confident but fundamentally lonely Tobi. Go to Full Review

When a play is adapted for the screen, too often you can see the stitches. Go to Full Review

It's great fun to watch Patrick Stewart in "Match," seeming to chew scenery (and actually doing so from time to time) but offering something else underneath. Go to Full Review

When you have Patrick Stewart talking about his free-loving days back in the sixties, you're off to a positive start. Go to Full Review

Stewart's performance here is Electric; an in your face and no-holes-bared tour-de-force which gives us a full frontal look into his characters psyche; however some may find it overplayed at times it is a delight to watch none the less. Go to Full Review

Abraham L Sep 30, 2018 Patrick Stewart is the whole show in this adaptation of the stage hit.
Anakin W Apr 22, 2018 This movie started out slow because it's a play adapted to film but it's worth the time investment. It gave us a lot to think about and a few great quotes. I was pleasantly surprised by it. See more
Kylo W Aug 18, 2017 I watched this for the dancing (of which there wasn't any), but was drawn in by the frankness of the dialogue. It's a very small cast, but each has their own depth that keeps things interesting. See more
Ron R Mar 10, 2017 Patrick Stewart's acting is bad 3/4 of the time, very bad a lot of that 3/4 and that is what this movie is relying on for it to have any hope of being good. See more
Finn M Mar 1, 2017 Patrick Stewart is fantastic. it would be great to see the theatrical play version.
Luke S Feb 18, 2017 This screen adaptation of Stephen Belber's play is a tour de force for Patrick Stewart. A young couple comes to NYC from Texas to see a ballet teacher at Juilliard to be interviewed for an article about dance. Everything changes. No spoilers, here. A riveting film about truth and humanity is riveting. See more
