While the special effects are really good, and the directing is decent, this just ends up becoming a really bad movie botching a really good concept... Go to Full Review

The creature, a rather underwhelming specimen of plant life with glowing red CGI eyes, is only a little more wooden than the film's human characters. Go to Full Review

Too lame to be genuinely entertaining, not stupid enough throughout to be laughable. Go to Full Review

This is easily the worst comic book movie ever made, and no, I haven't forgotten about the original Punisher adaptation. Go to Full Review

Hagrid W Jan 3, 2019 It is an pretty solid horror film but the film has almost nothing to do with Man-Thing. I'll give the film maker props for the special effects because when I saw this movie I thought that Man-Thing would just be crappy CGI but to my surprise it was special effects. See more
Kylo S Oct 12, 2018 My god! What a horrible film this was! This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. This is one of the worst horror films ever made. One of the worst Marvel movies ever made. This is definitely in the Top 10 Worst Marvel Movies list. I cannot believe that this was actually a Marvel movie. I barely remember even remember this movie and I only watched it once this year streaming online for free. Man-Thing is a SUPER INCREDIBLY, EXTREMELY BORING AND FORGETTABLE MOVIE. It was so boring that it put me to sleep. I fell asleep through so much of the movie because it bored the living shit out of me. It is horribly paced, horribly directed, and horribly written. All of the characters in this movie are so forgettable and uninteresting. None of the characters in this movie are interesting. Cardboard characters. And all the actors playing these Louisianians have such bad accents and their Louisianian accents are extremely exaggerated and phoned in. This horror movie is so generic and so cliche and hits all the old horror cliches in the book. The titular monster, Man-Thing, doesn't even have that much screentime. He only has like 7 minutes of screentime. At the beginning, even when he was there, it was too hard to see him because he was rapidly running so fast that you could only get a glimpse of the monster. The main protagonist (who is some sheriff who's name isn't even important) doesn't even see and believe in Man-Thing until the end of the third act. Speaking of which, in the end, I couldn't tell if Man-Thing died or just disappeared and vanished after being caught in the explosion. The movie didn't even explain very well about his fate in the end. No wonder this was a straight-to-DVD film. One of the few things I liked about this movie was Man-Thing's CGI design because it was very impressive, especially for a 2005 film, and I liked that Man-Thing brutally killed a lot of people violently, and I liked how violent, bloody, and gruesome the deaths were. One more thing I liked about it was that the movie actually scared me a few times. That's all I can say about the film. Rating: 1/10 See more
Poe W Aug 30, 2018 it's not as terrible as it may seem. The monster doesn't look fake half the time and the characters are not entirely ridiculous. Thundering Sounds and dramatic music are a bit of an overkill but that's what you expect from a b-movie like this. See more
Leia S May 31, 2018 Most underrated Marvel's film.
Leia S Feb 3, 2018 A bad horror flick, and not at all what I expected going in. Nothing is notably good about this films plot, characters, or action. The one redeeming quality is the special effects- the entire movie just looks beautiful. But otherwise, this movie sucks. See more
Hagrid R Aug 12, 2017 The least comic book accurate film, ever!
