While the film's woodsy frights build competently, director Adam Massey's lack of finesse prevents the viewer's imagination from running as wild as need be. Go to Full Review
Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Jun 3, 2015
Mixing 'found' and 'objective' footage as blithely as it blurs genres, Man Vs. starts small before revealing the place of humanity in an unforgiving universe. Go to Full Review

With nothing to justify all its slow meandering towards a lacklustre conclusion, Man Vs. is barely mediocre, and ultimately mostly a huge disappointment. Go to Full Review

Man Vs has a simple premise... a smart and tight script, shot economically with a compelling lead and blessedly sparing use of visual effects Go to Full Review

We get to the point where the movie has to do something, and that's when Man Vs. reveals its larger game -- and falls apart. Go to Full Review

Man Vs. is a prime example of less-is-more filmmaking, in which the slow build is achieved with little more than sound effects and decent acting. Go to Full Review

Apr 12, 2019 Starts out great, then goes to absolute trash for the last 30 minutes.
Theodore S Dec 11, 2018 Pretty good as far as low budget Netflix movies go. Very suspenseful.
George W Nov 24, 2018 Okay version of the strange presence in the woods motif but our hero is supposed to be a survival expert but when things go strange his reaction is panic. That pretty much continues until the reveal of the thing. Then he alternates between hysteria and calmer survival actions. Somewhat of a good twist at the end, which explains the events. The film is mostly Chris Diamantopoulos and he does a very good job with a script that is trying hard to make him inconsistent. He's really good and this part could have been better constructed for him. See more
Draco S Nov 17, 2018 On cell for 3/4 then turned it off. Horrible ff movie thats ridiculously low budget.
Abraham W Oct 28, 2018 I can't believe such a dumb movie got made in this day and age.
Albus W Sep 1, 2018 Very fun movie. Has an interesting, unique premise that I've yet to see replicated, tense atmosphere created by clever camera usage, and a fun twist. It's left open-ended which I love. Recommend it if you want a fun, scary movie. See more
