After nearly being killed during a violent fight with a powerful drug lord, a former Mexican Federale known as Machete roams Texas streets as a vigilante and sometime day-laborer. Hired to perform a covert hit, he is double-crossed and forced to go on the run. Machete may be down, but not out, and he carves a path of blood, bullets and broken hearts in his quest to settle the score.

Critics Consensus

Machete is messy, violent, shallow, and tasteless -- and that's precisely the point of one of the summer's most cartoonishly enjoyable films.

George R Nov 6, 2017 Magnificently self-aware, a tongue-in-cheek and intentionally over-the-top action movie. Danny Trejo and the supporting cast are magnificent. See more
George G Oct 31, 2017 Once you realize itâ??s in the same universe as Spy Kids, it becomes the greatest movie ever made
Theodore S Oct 30, 2017 Fun B movie horror, with an all star cast
Harry S Sep 17, 2017 like death proof, planet terror, and hell ride, this is a pseudo tarantino movie thats a bit tedious
Leia W May 16, 2017 Ok film but it`s very forgettable.
Ron R Apr 25, 2017 Machete may be tasteless but it is also pretty funny with Robert Rodriguez's style slapped on for additional flavor.
