Honestly watch it. People nowadays always want to see some dumb over exaggerating mainstream stuff. This movie was so refreshing and beautifully made. And such great acting !

With all its problems in story and quality there was a good chance Look Away would've turned out a decent teen horror if only the pace wasn't so painstakingly slow. The sluggish pace made the movie feel uneventful and dull taking away the intensity of some really creepy scenes. The lead actress could've been better but the supporting cast covered for her well enough. There's not a lot to like here but Look Away is okay to watch the one time.

While it has some obvious weak spots, including the ending, there's plenty of substance and style to carry it through. Eisley's performance was remarkable. More critical reviewers seemed to have missed the skillfully created layers concerning family and other psychological dynamics. The mirror metaphor may not be original, but the way it was used here adds absorbing creative themes and visual devices.
