What to Know

Critics Consensus

Although its script is uneven, Neil Burger directs Limitless with plenty of visual panache, and Bradley Cooper makes for a charismatic star.

Paradoxically absorbing, yet cliched and empty, this power-based New York story is a bit of an entertaining thrill ride, probably far more popcorn-engrossing than it deserves to be... Go to Full Review

Its science fiction premise about the enhanced drug has a gripping start, but it never breaks its limits and loses the dose of suspense when it frequents common places that, as a side effect, make it terribly dull. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Limitless is frustrating because there are plenty of compelling ideas at work here, but they’re dumbed down by a screenplay that isn’t capable of being as intelligent as its central character. Go to Full Review

Kylo M Feb 10, 2019 Well-acted, highly intriguing and thoroughly entertaining.
Abraham R Jan 30, 2019 Literally my favorite movie ever. So trippy and fascinating, so well constructed and complex. Absolutely got me obsessed with nootropic drugs. See more
Harry G Jan 19, 2019 Love the ideas and creativity of the movie, kinda inspiring honestly
Finn W Dec 31, 2018 Stylish. Narration is cheap and pacing needs work.
See more
Poe S Nov 29, 2018 The story explores themes of drug addiction, self-development and the latter through the former. While the film itself isn't anything too special, it employs some great editing, playing with different colours schemes in different moods and typography. Not the worst way to spend 105min. See more
