George G Feb 14, 2018 Plotwise it's extremely similar to Late Spring, although this time with a mother-daughter rather than fatther-daughter relationship at its core. Though interesting enough it lacks the emotional power of the earlier film - perhaps because the wonderful Chishu Ryu only has a tiny cameo here, and nobody comes close to filling his shoes. See more
