When the royal family is accidentally killed, the heir to the throne proves to be a loutish American named Ralph Jones. Overnight, Ralph goes from sleazy Las Vegas lounge singer to King of England, and it's royal secretary Cedric Willingham's job to try to civilize him. But it's not easy weaning Ralph off of fast food, and even harder keeping him away from a kindly stripper. Meanwhile, the next would-be heir plots Ralph's demise.

A film simply as bad as King Ralph does not have the courage of its own impudence. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

As the years pass, King Ralph increasingly looks like an old-fashioned minor entry in the culture clash comedy catalog. Go to Full Review

Finn P Mar 9, 2019 Everything a reasonable person could possibly expect it to be. Clean family-friendly comedy.
George W Jul 9, 2018 27%? Really? I love this movie. It is just the right amount of stupid with the jolly dude and the just hot enough to want girl. Feels like real people in a reall funny situation. It's not supposed to be serious, or a character study. Hey for every brilliant There Will Be Blood, I want a King Ralph or Jumpin Jack Flash. See more
Anakin M May 6, 2010 Just stupid fun. Completely implausible, but it's an entertaining premise nonetheless. This isn't one of John Goodman's better roles though. At times he was annoying. (First and only viewing - 5/23/2010) See more
Harry S Dec 13, 2007 4/21/2017: Not a good movie. I liked the cast and the plot had potential, but it just wasn't that funny.
