Danny Bryce (Jason Statham), one of the world's deadliest special-ops agents, returns from self-imposed exile after his mentor, Hunter (Robert De Niro) is captured. Danny reassembles his former team of skilled commandos to launch a rescue mission, and also to infiltrate the highly feared military unit, the British Special Air Service. The mission will not be easy, for Danny and his team must cut their way through Spike (Clive Owen) and a team of assassins known as the Feather Men.

Anyone hoping for an intriguing game of cat-and-mouse between Statham and Owen -- on the order of Ford and Jones in The Fugitive -— will realize that their skirmishes can’t even match the feud between Tom and Jerry… or Punch and Judy, for that matter.

No no no, not good. I had no real issues with production values, action, or even the acting, but I couldn't figure out what the point was supposed to be. Some bad guys kill some other bad guys and then those bad guys kill OTHER bad guys. Why? Mostly revenge and money. But ONE bad guy is not as bad as the other bad guys. And one has a porno mustache. And it is the 80s for some reason. And bad English/Australian accents because one thing American cinema is lacking is English/Australian actors.

Surprised this is Rotten. It seems to be the freshest & most engaging of tough guy movies in a milieu that suddenly today is all too current, Saudi hit men, and all ... True grit. Top perfs. Great cast.
