3/5
Wheatly aims for something like moral complexity by having one of the killers believe in God and the other aspire to be a good husband and father, but once the graphic violence starts, it upstages everything else. Go to Full Review
Andrew Barker Variety Jan 8, 2013
Displaying both a nasty edge and a playful sense of humor -- but thankfully, never at the same time -- Brit import Kill List is several cuts above its fellow midbudget horror brethren. Go to Full Review
John DeFore The Hollywood Reporter Jan 8, 2013
Deeply edgy, gory crime film maintains perfectly calibrated tension before dropping a bombshell that will be too much for some viewers. Go to Full Review

Thoughtfully blending genre tropes and connecting them to modern sociopolitical concerns, Wheatley’s disturbing classic is among the twenty-first century’s finest works of folk horror. Go to Full Review

Some may be frustrated by the coyness of the narrative, which prefers to leave integral storytelling threads up to the viewer’s imagination, but that is all part of the fun... Go to Full Review

Abraham S Feb 27, 2019 A compelling and original ride.
Leia L Feb 7, 2019 hard to understand what the 2 leads are saying their accents were so thick and maskell doesn't open his mouth enough when he speaks. overrated, thought it was a poor film overall See more
Draco P Feb 6, 2019 I thought this had some promise after the first ten minutes, but I gradually lost interest as it became more and more predictable. The violence became worse as the film went on, but did not add anything to the plot line as the characters didn't really develop in any way. By the end I just wanted them to all die and get it over with. Waste of time. Don't bother. See more
Anakin S Dec 8, 2018 Another low-budget horror movie that turns out to be quite unnerving. It does have flaws, like the execution is quercky and the actors just tend to mumble a lot of their dialogue, which makes it hard to understand for the love of fuck. But believe it or not, the fact that this flick is full of plot-holes makes it all the more scary, especially the third act is extremely tense and gory. The movie is very slow-burning, but always keeps an unsafe atmosphere and gradually builds up to an efficient horror film, that isn't for everyone's tastes, but it's definitely a horror gem and deserves a solid three stars. Really worth a look!! See more
Harry S Sep 28, 2018 Unique and unpleasant combo of family drama and crime film, with Wicker Man type elements. If that sounds like your cup of tea, go for it. I didn't find it worth my time. Disturbing but not emotionally engaging. See more
Kylo S Sep 16, 2018 Terrible. scary? horror? predictable ending and all nonsense before that. waste of $
