It is estimated that every year, hundreds of thousands of rape kits are left untested in police storage facilities. This documentary explores the shocking way that sexual assault cases have been historically processed in the United States.

Critics Consensus

Eye-opening and deeply disturbing, I Am Evidence sifts through an egregious amount of evidence to craft a powerful documentary about survivors and a very broken system.

As a documentary, Adlesic and Gandbhir's film works better when focusing on the individuals and their cases. The stories we hear are indeed tragic and sad and obviously hold more weight than your typical episode of Law & Order.

A damning and insightful look into the world of rapes and solving these crimes. Too many rape kits go unchecked in DNA labs and police warehouses. Its a serious problem as most of these men go on to rape more victims.
