Multi-platinum rap superstars Redman and Method Man star as Jamal and Silas, two regular guys who smoke something magical, ace their college entrance exams and wind up at Harvard. Ivy League ways are strange but Silas and Jamal take it in a stride -- until their supply of supernatural smoke runs dry. That's when they have to start living by their wits and rely on their natural resources to make the grade.

Critics Consensus

How High is a sloppily constructed stoner movie filled with lame, vulgar jokes.

For better or for worse, How High knows what its audience wants and serves it to them, straight up, without any sort of moral or ethical chaser.

Despite the comedy's reliance on drug humor, first-time director Jesse Dylan is actually less interested in getting high than in seeing how low he can go.

Unfortunately, this stoner comedy doesn't hold up nor was it likely very good at the time of its initial release in 2001. How High unites these two friends in an absurd and impossible-to-believe story that has them challenging establishments at Harvard.

Honestly super overrated movie, I love Method Man and Redman's music and do smoke marijuana but this movie is so lame and stupid. It has terrible acting, lame humour, bad pacing, it's pretty dull and boring, and had the most cliche plot ever of two slackers about to be kicked of of college by an asshole dean, the love interest has a stereotypical jerk boyfriend, everything about this movie is lame, predictable, generic and all the characters are stereotypes. 3/10

I saw a lot of negative comments on this movie and i want to set the record straight. This Movie is great! the people who dont like it are the type of people that have a stick so far up their ass, that anything and everything is dumb to them.
