Jordan Mintzer Variety Apr 16, 2009
Riding in on the four ponies currently plaguing the Hollywood horror-thriller -- overstylized torture, whiplash editing, compulsive script reversals and crude neon lighting -- Horsemen brings its herd home to pasture in strictly predictable fashion. Go to Full Review

About twenty minutes were cut from the International Release of this film; perhaps they contained whatever narrative glue was needed to make this a cohesive drama. Go to Full Review

A grim picture, but utterly ridiculous; a film encouraged by its own sense of misery, though in service of a director who botches the delicate balance between procedural nightmares and familial concern. Go to Full Review

George S Sep 28, 2018 Botched crime drama tries to balance family drama with serial killer suspense and fails.
Albus S Dec 16, 2017 A detective completely immersed in his job to block out the death of his wife gets a new case involving bizarre murders where the victims are suspended from a custom-made apparatus with huge fish hooks. There are four perps involved in the slayings who leave the same message at each crime scene, "Come and See." With the inadvertent help of his youngest son, Breslin ties the killings to the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Bible. The story is well paced, the acting is decent (big Quaid fan), and the identity of the lead horseman has impact but was not all that surprising. Satisfying thriller. See more
Nov 10, 2017 I was very aware that the actors were acting the whole time. Dennis Quaid seems like a nice guy in person but he is just not a good actor! He has had some decent roles but his acting is sub par. The concept of the movie was decent though. See more
Han P Oct 26, 2017 HORSEMEN is better than critics and audiences judged, in my opinion. Mesmerizing, disturbing to say the least.
Han G May 26, 2017 Has potential in the story, but ends up as an overacted mess. Feels like a campy cop movie from the 80s without the humor, I was surprised it was 2008. See more
George L Jan 17, 2016 Seemed like a lesser version of Se7en, but that being said, Se7en is hard to top. This was still an interesting and bought provoking thriller that is quite gory and grisly. I can see the disapproval, but I found it easy to overlook See more
