The Hidden is a well-constructed thriller, directed with swift assurance by Jack Sholder, brought down by an utterly conventional sci-fi ending. Go to Full Review

Powered by a driving rock score, this is by turns sleek, reckless, and smoothly effective, like a Ferrari with a psycho killer at the wheel. Go to Full Review

A jokey sci-fi horror movie about the desperate pursuit of a vile ''thing'' from outer space. Go to Full Review

There it is, a fast-paced production which will have you clinging to your seat and reaching for your stomach. This isn't great cinema, but it sure is entertaining. Go to Full Review

…The Hidden is probably the movie that’s closest to The Terminator in its frenetic pace, punchy action, underlying sci-fi premise and ingenious story… Go to Full Review

Director Jack Sholder.... turns this high concept, low budget sci-fi thriller into a minor classic. Go to Full Review

George L Aug 20, 2018 The hidden, no pun intended is a gem of a movie, barely known. It has an underground cult following but there is no reason why is shouldn't be even better known. Kyle Machlachlan and Michael Nouri are forced partners hunting for a killer, but this is just the tip of the iceberg of this story. It is fast paced and incredibly well executed. Director Jack Sholder is something of a cult favorite and he has made many films which are well received much later. However nothing in my opinion beats the Hidden. Kyle Machlachlan deserves special mention as he is in great form- although still playing the kind of role he is typecast in.(The Hidden is an underrated science fiction film that deserves better). Abraham W Jul 25, 2018 A SLEEPER THAT STARTS OUT STRONG AND GETS BETTER. A NICE SURPRISE.
George M Apr 20, 2018 Pretty solid sci-fi action thriller/comedy from the 80's with all the characteristic elements of the period. You can't help thinking that MIB somehow owes much to this movie with a monster using human bodies as a carcass. When all is said and done the 80's had soul. See more
Anakin R Feb 20, 2018 Solid Horror/action flick. One of the better body-swap movies. The ending is a little strange, but it's satisfying.
Ron L Nov 17, 2017 like a long x-files episode. it was ok but ultimately bored me
Anakin W Sep 29, 2017 A real surprise when I picked this off rental shelf way back in VHS video store days. Saw the cover and took a chance, definitely a solid Sci-fi action flick for it's time. Killer car chase scene with total destruction of a brand new Ferrari one of the highlights. A bit dated in special effects but cast and storyline remains solid to this day. See more
