Great practical FX give way to a never ending deluge of hallucinatory nightmares that lose all impact as the film progresses. It's hard not to blame Inferno for establishing the bland narrative/character template for the sequels to come Go to Full Review

A movie whose heavy atmosphere might have been done better elsewhere, but it has a heavy atmosphere, and that's more than other Hellraiser sequels can claim. Go to Full Review

The grisly violence and nightmarishly hallucinatory imagery returns, now accompanied by appalling sound effects that significantly amplify the brutality. Go to Full Review

Though it is sometimes plagued by the problems typical of low-budget horror, you can tell at all times that Inferno has a lot of ambition for a B-grade picture of its kind - and that sense makes all the difference. Go to Full Review

Albus P Feb 2, 2019 At least this one actually feels like a Hellraiser film which I can't say for the 2005 one.
Hagrid S Sep 16, 2018 Cons -Doesn't even feel like you're watching a Hellraiser movie. -Pinhead makes a cameo and that's it. -Looks low budget. -You might as well skip to the last scene. See more
Rey W Jul 2, 2018 First hellraiser film that wasn't supposed to be a a hellraiser film, inferno follows a corrupt unlikable protagonist in detective Joseph Thorn. there is literally nothing i like about him he's selfish and cruel, he almost makes Sheriff Teasle from first blood look good. so we are supposed to root for a character trying to find a serial killer named the engineer (like the cenobite in the original but not). seeing as this was shoehorned into being a hellraiser movie pinhead has very limited screen time and our real villain is Thorn himself. on the plus side it's not the worst one but its really bad. Luke W Feb 14, 2018 A dark parable where Pinhead and company fulfill their functions in the background, no more, no less. The story is centered upon the "victim." If you're looking for something more action-packed, this film is not for you. See more
George R Nov 7, 2017 One of the worst entries in the Hellraiser series. Now, in a Hellraiser movie you expect several people being torn apart by meat hooks, and pinhead along side his cinobites giving a speech of death. Well in this movie you do get to see that but, only once. This movie is double as confusing as the average Hellraiser (which is already very confusing), and it manages to absoulotley break the rules of pinhead, and the deadites while bringing us the most unlikeable main character ever. Honestly who routes for the guy who cheats on his family, and doesn't care about it. Also the Cenobites in this movie look like Venom, the start of the movie feels like a cheap detective story, and also Pinhead doesn't appear until an hour and twenty minutes into the film. Yes. You heard that right. You have to sit through a non interesting movie just to see about 7 minutes of pinhead. So in the end this movie was so different in the wrong way that if you change a few things this could completley not be a Hellraiser film. See more
Abraham G Oct 9, 2017 This entry tries to be different from the others by making this more of a cat and mouse psychological thriller. I do not think that this particular angle was good for the series. It wasn't as good as the others and I found it to be slow and boring for the most part. Pinhead deserves better. See more
