While not at all "good," it does get points for enlisting B-movie queen Kari Wuhrer to carry the weight of the narrative. Go to Full Review

Deader is narratively muddled due to franchise elements being forced into the script, as well as the Weinsteins' penny pinching. Still, Kari Wuhrer delivers a committed performance (her bathroom freak-out alone is worth the price of admission) Go to Full Review

Has no aspirations higher than to just throw out garish, weird stuff to add some meager flavoring to its watery broth of a plot. Go to Full Review

The film is sharper, scarier, gorier, and certainly more serious than the last few entries in the series. Go to Full Review

The new Hellraiser films aren't perfect, but at least they're not totally decimating a beloved franchise as the new Crow films are. Go to Full Review

You know you're in trouble when the word you use to augment your franchise moniker is a semi-creepy, made-up word (why not "Hellraiser: Spookeegery"). Go to Full Review

Theodore W Sep 16, 2018 Pros -It's better than the last movie, but that isn't saying much. Cons -It's very boring. -Looks low budget. -Doesn't feel like a Hellraiser movie. -Pinhead is barely in it. -There's no imagination or originality. -The last three of these are somewhat clones of each other. -The franchise is dead at this point. Luke R Mar 14, 2018 re review okay so i originally called this one the worst but i hadn't seen revelations, but still this movie is all about a cult called the deaders (which isn't even a word) deaders are a cult that bring back the dead at the command of the cenobites and the only reason they do this is to kill them again so they'll be deader. why not Hellraiser Rebirth? that would be a much better title that makes sense. George G Feb 14, 2018 A story about a nosy reporter doing a piece on the occult, which happens to also involve the Lament Configuration, and Pinhead by extension. Whatever the offical synopsis is, this movie does not follow it. To those of you who are looking for a linear plot, concrete themes, or even solid atmosphere or settings, you will not like this movie too much. To newcomers willing to expand their horizons a bit: You will be confused, you will not understand everything that's going on (save for the basics), but you will enjoy the ride, slow as it is. Luke W Oct 12, 2017 Better than the last movie but still very bad.
