Rey S Apr 12, 2019 I suspect that a lot of people don't even realize that the Hellboy animated movies even exist at all. There is Hellboy: Sword of Storms and Hellboy: Blood and Iron. Both feature the voices of the actors from the original live action movies from director Guillermo del Toro. They were released direct to video in 2006 and had the potential to become a full scale animated series. Unfortunately that never happened. I actually kind of like Blood and Iron a little more than Sword of storms bu both are still good. Besides the impressive voice cast, the art style resembles Mike Mignola's artwork, which is a very nice touch and shows respect for the comic book source material. See more
Leia L Mar 23, 2019 This was an awesome animation & I loved that all the original actors for the films were doing the voice over work... I was quite pleased. See more
Abraham R Sep 11, 2018 Another fun animated movie thanks to the excellent vocal cast and Tad Stones solid direction. The cast, which consists of the same actors from the live action movies, fill their roles perfectly, particularly John Hurt as Prof. Broom, who as a nice sense of gravitas and history to the character. Behind the camera, Tad Stones does a slightly better job than "Storm of Swords", mixing the present day plot with the one from Broom's past, while using some actual folklore for the tale. The one downside is the animation style is still a bit too cartoony for the subject matter, which includes more than a few deaths along with a vampire who likes to bath in others blood. Overall, an entertaining watch that quite frankly is better than the live-action movies. See more
