In an America ravaged by atomic warfare, nomads spend their days scavenging for scrap in a blasted landscape. That's how ex-soldier Moses Baxter (Dylan McDermott) comes into possession of some spare android parts. He buys them as a present for his artist girlfriend, Jill (Stacey Travis), who plans to put them in a sculpture. What they don't know is that the pieces come from a new kind of android that is capable of reassembling itself -- and is programmed to kill.

Luke M Aug 18, 2017 Hardware turned me on to the band 'Ministry' Iggy Pop, Gwar, Motorhead , Public Image LTD. Nearly two decades later, Hardware retains its merciless poise, and while the filmmaker has slipped into obscurity, his finest work still lunges for the throat. See more
Albus W Jan 7, 2017 I had a friend in college that worked in the movie theater. I got to go see this gem for free. It was the worst sci-fi movie ever. Low-budget effects, intellectually-challenged dialog, throw in some sex and violence to try and make it remotely interesting... FAIL FAIL FAIL! Don't waste money or time on this. See more
Albus S Jul 11, 2011 I'd say that this was the final movie to an 80's era that turned Hollywood into a grateful dominating film industry. Perhaps if this film was made in the mid 80's, it would have been highly acceptable, but to be released in 1990 was jumping into a new era of films that would not fit in. No one can't deny Stacey's eyes, one of the best Hollywood could ever find. See more
