Rey P Apr 28, 2019 Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is a great film just not as good as the first. It still had all the things that were in the first it just didn't execute them as well this time. See more

Hermione S Apr 28, 2019 At first glance this movie may seem to serve as a moderate sequel to the original, however, it actually serves as a great progression in the MCU for the guardians. The whole movie is about family. Quill doesn't trust his father until he does, only to realize that his real family died when he was young and that his new friends are his family. The most development is all around not Quill, but Yondu. Yondu we learn has had good intentions from the moment he picked up Quill but never really knew how to express them. Here he is partnered with Rocket (another character who has driven those close to him away) and they bond over their flaws. By the end of the film *SPOILER* Yondu is finally accepted by Peter as his real father and he gets one of the best send offs ever in an emotional light show. I cried. See more

Luke R Apr 28, 2019 Holy moly, what a turn of events. 'Guardians Vol. 2' relies too much on juvenile, self-indulgent humor that's made worse by stomach-churning, mean-spirited violence. High off the last film's immense success, Gunn tries too hard to get his laughs, leaving this sequel devoid of the sincere charm and spirit of the original as a result. On a writing front, it's also annoying how many of the film's characters regress from being loveable assholes into asshole assholes, particularly Star-Lord and Rocket, who seem to forget everything they learned about teamwork in the first film. There are some good ideas floating around the family-driven narrative, and the makeup jobs for the dozens of unique alien extras are nothing short of impressive, but they're impossible to appreciate amidst all the contemptful ruckus. Abraham R Apr 27, 2019 fun not that bad no thanos though

Kylo G Apr 26, 2019 The opening sequence is beautiful and truly a work of art. However the rest of the story may not be for everyone

Draco S Apr 25, 2019 While it works as a stand-alone sequel, it certainly falls in a bad time within the MCU continuity: as the GoTG easily beat down large scale enemies, Thanos progressively turns into a diminishing villain threat. Reaches a new comedy high and a new maturity low. See more
