One chilly night, on a Paris bridge, a girl leans out over the Seine with tears in her eyes, contemplating the icy waters below. Suddenly, a stranger with a penetrating gaze emerges out of the darkness, a man who will change her life. It is Gabor, a once brilliant but now fading performer in need of a partner. He has set his sights on this luckless but oddly alluring Adele, a girl with nowhere to go who is shifting nervously on the edge of a decision.

What's best about the movie is its playfulness. Go to Full Review

It isn’t quite a comedy, isn’t quite a love story, and isn’t quite a melodrama. In fact, part of the appeal of Girl on the Bridge is that it’s difficult to pigeonhole. Go to Full Review

A very well-written and well conceived picture with a lot of heart simmering under the surface. Go to Full Review

Anakin P Sep 25, 2018 Just loved that movie. Beautiful well written story of luck, love and destiny. Vanessa Paradis is perfect for the part with a lot of texture, giving the character of Adele a range from sexy vamp to clumsy ingenue, sometimes candid, light and funny, other times almost neurotic and instable. Unltimately it's a feel good movie but not in the way you'd necessarily expect. There is a good life lesson to take from it too. See more
Anakin W Apr 14, 2018 Splendid movie. I would lie if I didn't say that I was enormously charmed and enchanted by the knife-throwing scenes with the accompaniment of the beautiful song 'Who Will Take My Dreams Away'. A very strong movie which elicits strong emotions and a pensive mood, but it's a good kind of mood. I was quite surprised that a movie shot in such a rapid succession of shots can create such a mood. Performances are high level, especially by Daniel Auteuil; the chemistry between him and Paradis is complete. See more
