Watching Fresh Horses feels like watching a short film expanded to an hour and 45 minutes...but without adding any dialogue. Go to Full Review

Draco L Sep 24, 2017 Almost nonsensical, the leads gave it their best shot and Ben Stiller seemed to only be the strong, convincing actor and character. See more
Hermione L Jul 10, 2017 To preface: this movie was not awful, and I enjoyed it, but that doesn't mean it was good. Andrew McCarthy (handsome as always) and Molly Ringwald (who looked absolutely stunning) did great in their roles, and make chemistry between the characters even through poorly scripted spots where it seems as though there is a lack of it. It was an interesting story, and the setting was nice, but the story progression is what makes the film a pain to watch. It continously jumps from interesting and romantic to dull and melancholic in a matter of minutes, though the first 20 and last 20 remain solid. The score was supposed to give the movie more of a serious drama feel rather than another 1980s teen-tale, but awkward timing and mediocre story telling made it fall short and overall made the film seem even more cheesy and disheartening than originally intended. I would watch it again, but with lower expectations of a good story and more for the joy of watching 2 good actors do a pretty good job with what they're given. See more
