This strange family fare, about a dog that was once a man, tries unsuccessfully to combine the expected magic of animal adventures with some more serious ideas. Go to Full Review

As if banal platitudes about work-vs. -family aren't insufferable enough, there's a kicker gag involving Jackson that'll even have Mister Rogers begging for Pulp Fiction II. Go to Full Review

"Fluke" gives new meaning to the phrase "men are dogs." In this cute new adventure film, Fluke is the canine reincarnation of a man who died in a freak auto accident. Go to Full Review

There are some interesting twists at the film's conclusion, but by then, the heaviness and quirkiness of it all may have diluted most of the fun. Go to Full Review

Harry W Mar 15, 2019 i actuallly despised this movie - no plot direction and its just awkward all the way through
Abraham S Jan 19, 2019 I honestly do not know why this film is badly received by critics. I thought it was a heartwarming film with a good lesson. Anyone can learn from this movie. Do not take life for granted. Do all you can with your family because you never know when your time will come to an end. I will admit if you are sensetive and or have sensetive children I would stear clear the movie can get dark for the little ones but if they can handle it i think this a good movie you can talk to them about life and death. Turn this movie into a teaching moment. I was young when i first saw this movie on animal planet and thought it was a cutesy dog movie but boy was I wrong lol. I ended up still loving it and now when I think back on it I am glad I saw this movie when I did. This movie didnt dumb anything down or make it cutesy and have a feel good ending it ended in a realistic thought provoking way and I commend it for that its not perfect but I love it. Sadly they just dont make movies like these much anymore. If you have time to spare and love animal movies please give it a try! Things arent always what they seem - Rumbo See more
Draco L Jan 8, 2019 Can't believe it just has 27% as evaluation, the movie has a touching story and the songs from the soundtracks are amazing.
Nov 7, 2018 My favorite movie from childhood :)
Oct 31, 2018 Great movie, about after life you believe or not
Jan 19, 2018 Based on James Herbert's wonderful novel, the film adaptation takes a glimpse into a man reincarnated as a dog. It's easy to pick faults in the film with it being quite gushy but I have to say I rather liked it. A Dog's Purpose seems to have copied the film to a certain extent but falls short in lack of emotion and a connection with the character's. If you want to watch a film that's sure to bring a tear to the eye, I would say give it a watch. See more
