F.I.S.T. is another in a long line of well-made films that excel in their particulars, even if they fall a little short as complete, complex pieces of cinema. Go to Full Review

F.I.S.T. stands for nearly 2 1/2 hours of almost unmitigated boredom-a misfired would-be proletarian epic with Sylvester Stallone misplaying the Jimmy Hoffa part with a self-confidence that borders on the sublime. Go to Full Review

F.I.S.T. is to the labor movement in the United States what All the King's Men was to an era in American politics. Go to Full Review

For an admirer of good Hollywood cinema, leaving it unwatched is unforgivable, because the initials of the film could also spell: Failure, Interesting, Spunky, and Traitorous. [full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The analysis lacks rigor and it's more interested in exploiting the previous hits of Sylvester Stallone than to delve deeper into any kind of social problem. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

So-so Sly Stallone as labor leader (like Hoffa). Diversion at best. Go to Full Review

Anakin G Sep 13, 2018 I wasted my whole night on this film! In Rotten Tomatoes' wisdom they have this film listed at 96 mins! It is 2 hrs and like 35 mins! It started out well but then dragged and dragged and reached! So I could not take it anymore and stopped at 2 hrs and 10 mins. Tried to let Rotten Tomatoes know off this site and no way to just report wrong info! See more
Abraham R Apr 13, 2018 one of Sylvester Stallone's best-acted features he gets the opportunity to break away from the big muscle-bound hero we're used to seeing him play and tackle a piece of human history as Johnny Novak in the 1930's he sees the unfairness and injustice of the workers' union so he goes on strike with other co-workers demanding higher pay, solidarity, insurance for families, and overtime it's a rough road for him and his supporters but they manage to form F.I.S.T. for all state truckers Novak seems to have succeeded from having his demands met for the labor union workers as well as falling in love and receiving massive support from other sides of the country it's only a matter of time though before his connection to the mafia starts to dwindle things down like many social movements though you earn something, you lose something else and almost everyone deserves an equal cut from the bosses they never see or refuse to see about their concerns Novak wants all of the union laborers to have a fair share of what they break their necks and sweat for not even higher power like the US Senate office or big corporate moguls can bring Johnny Novak down Stallone acts his finest here See more
Han S Feb 1, 2018 Interesting look at the rise of a trade union worker. Stallone flexes his acting muscles instead in this one. It's good but not great.
Finn S Aug 27, 2017 interesting with a brilliant stallone performance
