What to Know

Critics Consensus

Fisherman's Friends charts a familiar course, but its feelgood charm and hook-filled soundtrack should be enough to reel viewers in.

The film wants to be as amiable as a drunken singalong, but it's too pushy to make you want to join in. Go to Full Review

Between predictable, commonplace plot turns and characterizations of music business types that are even more obnoxious than the norm, the movie's straining for effect is less than ingratiating. Go to Full Review

The script doesn't contain many lines that ring true, and a few clang wildly off-key. Go to Full Review

With its irresistible mix of feel-good vibes, infectious musical numbers, great rapport, and playful humor, “Fisherman’s Friends” makes the formulaic storytelling pretty easy to overlook. Go to Full Review

Albus S Apr 14, 2019 Enjoyable film and easy to watch
Poe R Apr 6, 2019 Enjoyable feel good film. Worth seeing.
Theodore R Mar 31, 2019 I really wanted to like this. I promise I did. But it was so slow, so slow. I like heart-warming British films but it felt more like an episode of Doc Martin. The makers of this has really missed the opportunity to make a good film here, 3 couple walked out of the cinema I was in as at some points it feels like it will never end. Not even a Netflix and chill movie I am afraid. See more
