Critics Consensus

Visually inventive and gleefully over the top, Luc Besson's The Fifth Element is a fantastic piece of pop sci-fi that never takes itself too seriously.

Narratively challenged, visually monotonous and aurally overpowering, The Fifth Element is a staggering accretion of all the wrong elements and some rather dopey ones as well. Go to Full Review

Albus S Apr 18, 2019 I'm not a fan of that movie. Bad acting and bad characters, but the movie looks awesome!
Finn W Apr 15, 2019 The key to appreciating this movie is to think of it less in terms of a script with engaging dialogue and more like a visual orchestral piece. This movie combines music and visuals to build a rich world. The action and dialogue serve as the measure and beats keeping you locked in a rhythm from start to finish. Watch this movie with your ears and let it spark your imagination. See more
George R Apr 12, 2019 There were some elements (no pun intended) that I didn't think were exactly great, but I found the movie pretty enjoyable with its impressive visual effects, good performances, fun action scenes, and some thought-provoking themes. See more
Harry R Apr 8, 2019 This movie is timeless and brilliant. Have loved it through the years over and over, despite what stuffy critic had to say like what the jackasses from variety and wall street journal who only spotlighted their ignorance of what is entertainment. Honestly I hope they got fired for not being able to spot what people love. See more
Abraham S Apr 4, 2019 fun, great direction
Mar 22, 2019 Action packed, funny, and lacks today's social justice warrior dumb shit
