Though the horror genre is sated with maniacs on the menace, Fear No Evil stands out. Spooky and surreal, the ultimately hopeful film has its basis in religious morality. Go to Full Review

The dialogue and characterizations are rudimentary. Of the acting and the direction, the best that can be said is that they would not disgrace a small-city drama club. Go to Full Review

Fear No Evil is pompous, silly and contusing, but it also has several interesting sequences and a great deal of conviction... still worth seeing Go to Full Review

Kylo L Sep 24, 2018 Not as bad as it reputation suggests. Actually, pretty darn good for a "first film" by a 23-year-old writer/director in 1981. An odd mix of antichrist/high school revenge flick with zombies thrown in for good measure. The highlight is the finale where all Hell breaks loose during a performance of the Passion Play. See more
Albus M Jun 24, 2008 Everything you could hope for in a late 1970s-early 1980s horror picture -- and then some. It's exploitative, it's in crashingly bad taste, it's cheesy and it's pretty silly. See more
