A film that has all the trappings of an anti-communist, Handover-anxiety dystopia, but the real enemy all along turns out to be corporate capital.

While seemingly even more of an effort to promote a heavy dose of style over substance, Executioners gets by on bringing in so many involved from the previous film.

By exploring the characters further, the film has a greater dramatic impact, to go along with its even more spectacular action sequences. ... Because of their increased emotional depth, I felt every slash.
