An outcast teenager (AnnaLynne McCord) practices surgical skills and has weird, and increasingly violent, psychosexual fantasies.

Critics Consensus

Excision effectively blends body horror and adolescent drama, although its visceral aggression definitely isn't for all tastes.

McCord's elfin face has been transformed here with fake heavy eyebrows into something disturbingly simian and her low, uncouth voice provides a really weird sexual charge.

I liked this teen comedy-horror flick an awful lot. But then I'm warped.

It could have been David Cronenberg meets Todd Solondz, but ends up more of a cautionary cartoon on things you shouldn't try at home.

Bizarre and boundary-pushing, Excision takes familiar horror elements and reinvents them in fulfilling ways and pushes the genre to disturbing heights.

Raw, honest, funny and heartbreaking (with an ending that will leave you breathless), Richard Bates Jr.'s debut film is nothing short of brilliant.

Excision is a confronting, incredibly upsetting and entertaining film with two iconic performances by AnnaLynne McCord and Traci Lords. It's witty, caustic, profane and sexy and that's all before the devastating ending absolutely destroys you.

Teen with a mental condition... how original. Story line was weak as was the horror factor.

Not really a horror but it has a shocking ending thats gory. The story is definitely outta left field.

Certainly not what I expected. Very much a teen misfit misfit film rather than a horror. Quite well played all round but didn't quite grab me like it should of.

I thought the movie was pretty good considering it wasn't a big box office smash. It has pretty good Rotten Tomatoes reviews including mine if you like horror films this isn't too bad I recommend it

Annalinn McCord gives the best performance I've seen in a horror movie since Chloe Grace in let me in. It's what carries this movie, without it, the movie could easily be dismissed

I loved the performances of every actor. The end scene is overwhelming. Great horror movie where everyday life becomes the most horrific nightmare.
