What to Know

Critics Consensus

Every Day wastes its metaphysical premise on shallow storytelling, though its diverse young cast adds flavor to an otherwise bland teen-romance.

The premise suggests it should be a horror movie but instead we are presented with a warped story about high school romance. Go to Full Review

it's refreshing to see a movie about an issue as narratively complex as this that doesn't get itself tied in knots about it. Go to Full Review

Feels like it skirts around the interesting stuff - the exploration of what it means to be rootless, cut free of gender and family - in favour of playing up the teen dream "instalove" aspects of the tale. Go to Full Review

Ron G Apr 3, 2019 I enjoyed this movie you have to have an open mind
Harry S Mar 31, 2019 Great movie. I feel you need to go into this movie with a basic concept of gender identity to understand (and appreciate) its depths. It may seem paradoxical, as the premise of the show seems to be that love transcends race and gender. But on another level the show speaks about love and empathy for human kind- all of its differences and the beauty in our diversity. From a trans persons perspective my partner said he has never felt such a kinship with a character and loved the way the film handled very sensitive topics like love and connection, as well as the concept of identity regardless of what you may look like. Would recommend! See more
Hermione P Mar 23, 2019 Ultimately stretched "Your Name" into absolute fantasy if not total psychological around sentimental territory when socially touching teenage topics and issues, as well tackling the eventual possessive conflict narrative, for intriguing originality as curiosity simultaneously builds whilst bolstered by an impeccable young cast, albeit some narrative loose ends for the flawed concept. Mar 12, 2019 Good movie, BAD BAD ENDING!!
Draco W Mar 9, 2019 There are no words to even describe how terrible this movie is.
George S Feb 15, 2019 Im very disappointed with this movie. It was nothing like the actual book. I felt as if i was being set up. I high recommend anyone thinking about watching this to think again. A waste of my time. Just go read the book over again. See more
