Is Brooke Shields truly obsession worthy? And can she carry, commercially, another movie about another kind of obsession? The answer is no. Go to Full Review

A Cotton-candy rendition of Scott Spencer's powerful novel, Endless Love is a manipulative tale of a doomed romance which careens repeatedly between the credible and the ridiculous. Go to Full Review

Endless Love never lets you forget what the book's sophisticated language lets you ignore: that our protagonists are a pair of shallow, spoiled teenagers. Go to Full Review

The story is incoherent and wildly gratuitous. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The original Endless Love is so bonkers it scored "Next Level" on the Mantzoukas scale and immediately won a place in my heart alongside Mariah Carey's epic, Gliter. Go to Full Review

Feb 1, 2019 The best romance movie ever made! With the best movie song ever sung: the title song!
Albus S Feb 11, 2018 This movie did give me some interesting thoughts, which I never had before. First of all, this movie gives you a good view on father-daughter relationship and it is hard for a loving father to see when his loving daughter grows up and starts giving her attention to another man. There is an interesting scene when Jade is sitting on her father's lap and a minute later she goes to her boyfriend. **A father always hopes that his girl's boyfriend will love her as much as he loves her.** It's hard to believe that Jade still loves David after knowing all the truth (about the house and the father), but I guess love stories like this one do happen in real life. I watched this movie while on Tom Cruise marathon and Tom Cruise in this movie is only around 20 seconds, but it was still an interesting movie overall. See more
Draco S Sep 13, 2017 Start with the most cliche-filled Lifetime movie about two lovers who can’t be together because their families disapprove of their relationship, then cast terrible actors pretty much throughout, and crank up the melodrama to 11. That is a perfect formula to give you Endless Love. I had a crush on Brooke Shields as much as any other guy in the 80s, but it wasn’t for her acting talent if she has any. She is straight-up awful in this movie, and Martin Hewitt might be worse. He feels like the place where emotions go to die. Then there is Shirley Knight playing the insane mother who thinks she can live vicariously through her daughter or even take her daughter’s place. Aside from the fact that teenagers are horny (and if allowed to, they’ll have sex every chance they get) no one behaves in a realistic fashion throughout this entire movie. I kept rolling my eyes every time someone did another moronic thing, which was basically every five minutes. None of the characters are likable, in particular Martin Hewitt who plays a sociopath that genuinely should have stayed in a mental hospital. I also had an inordinate amount of hatred for the character played by James Spader because he shifts personalities at some point and literally behaves the total opposite of the character established earlier. Endless Love is a repulsive film with very little worth watching in it. I would advise everyone to avoid it at all costs. See more
Finn R Mar 24, 2017 just watched this. and it is a fantastic movie. so much better than the remake, and I must say brooke shields is one of the prettiest actress I have ever seen See more
George R Dec 31, 2009 I guess I must be one of the very few who managed to feel the despair of the character's obsessive love (to the sound of that heartbreaking Lionel Richie song), but sadly after one hour the movie becomes a sappy overplotted soap opera and doesn't even care to offer us a conclusion.
