Like the Cinderella figure she plays in Disney's Enchanted, Amy Adams spreads a contagion of delight. The movie is great fun, but she's enchanting. Go to Full Review

The film may be 17 years old, but with Disney continuing to follow its decades-long formula it is as if Enchanted‘s jokes are never going to date. Go to Full Review

Two joyous elements give Enchanted its spark - inspired and incisive songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz and the tour de force that is Amy Adams. Go to Full Review

It's a feast of references and gentle self-deprecation for Disney fans, a pleasant if uninventive romcom and an altogether nice time at the movies. Go to Full Review

Mar 28, 2019 enchanted is half disney animation satire, half musical. I like how all the tropes of the old disney movies are subtly made fun of while still acknowlaging why they were so great. the cast is absolutly wonderful, I especially find it hilarious that a musical theatre actress like Ibina Menzel is the real life character while a proffessional hollywood actress (Amy Adams) is cast as the musical character. James Mardsen and Timothy Spall are the funniest characters in the entire movie, with Amy Adams coming at a close second. James Mardsen's has so much charm, naivety and innocence to him, and he ironically has a lot more character than the disney princes that he is supposed to satirise. Amy Adams also shines in this movie. compared to her previous roles, it's a bit odd to see her in a child friendly role, but it works really well, she is extremely believable as a character and if you look at her other roles, you would hardly recognise her. the songs are pretty catchy too, and take on more of a musical theatre style rather than the typical disney animated style. think of them as high school musical choreographies except with a million times more effort put into them. however, the third act of the movie sadly starts to lose some of it's steam. it reverts back to the classic disney climax, where the villain turns into a dragon and they have to fight it. it works as a disney climax, but this movie was supposed to satirise it, so it feels kinda strange to see the movie have a complete tonal shift in the very last act. that being said, I would definitly reccomend giving this one a watch with your kids. I really enjoyed most of it. See more
Feb 28, 2019 More cute than smart, the movie is really nothing other than jokes people the internet made prior to this films release. Am I bothered by this movies such positvie reception? Not really. Just because it was positively receieved doesn't mean people remember it. I mean I don't remember half of the characters names or any of the songs. Was it terrible? No but I have no reason to watch it. I guess if I had a daughter at a young age I'd watch it with her, but I don't have one. See more

Rey W Nov 7, 2018 This role was made for Amy Adams. She did a wonderful job playing the princess. This movie was so creative and Disney did a great job with making this movie. This movie manages to have spectacular catchy music along with some action adventures. This is a great movie for the whole family to see. See more
