I'm definitely looking forward to [director Sydney] Freeland's future movies, and I'll take stories like these over polished, generously backed documentaries any day. Go to Full Review
Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Feb 26, 2015
Freeland does reveal their omnipresent struggle to preserve identity, tradition and pride within a culture and a value system marginalized by the rest of the country. Go to Full Review
Aaron Hillis Village Voice Feb 20, 2015
Freeland's conventional yet credible portrait of identity crises on the reservation covers familiar ground (alcoholism, poverty) while warmly exploring contemporary issues rarely filmed within the diverse community. Go to Full Review

Leia L Feb 12, 2018 This is a stunning film, and its focus on three specific people and their struggles is what makes it so effective. Learning about each person, you become invested in their stories, and the personal nature of the film makes it even more engaging. The cinematography is also beautiful, and it provides a look into a section of American society that many people have little knowledge about. See more
