Critics Consensus

With its hyper-stylized blend of violence, music, and striking imagery, Drive represents a fully realized vision of arthouse action.

Drive is basically the coolest movie ever. Its dreamlike, electronic soundtrack -- perfect for travel at night -- layers meaningful messages into a violent fairy tale about an unconventional hero.

What a phenomenal film. Everyone I meet I always ask them If they've seen it. If they say yes, then I immediately know I'll get a long with them. It's that kind of movie that is unmistakably a piece of art. The storytelling is Immaculate and prides itself on showing you what's going on instead of telling you what's going on, an art-form in of itself. The soundtrack can make any grown man cry and mosh at the same time. It's that good. The Camera Angles, The Visuals Aesthetics, The Shot Composition, Script, Pacing, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. And if you're complaining about the lack of dialogue, I get where you're coming from, but there's beauty in reading a characters face, the room, the scene and the mood instead of it being sort of explained to you. And it makes for some very off-putting and tense moments too. Also, Less is ABSOLUTELY More in this case. Overall : 10/5, would take on a midnight drive

I wouldn't class this as a rip-off, more of an adaption/remake of The Driver. It was classier than most remakes, such as Get Carter, The Day of the Jackal, The Italian Job etc which were a shadow of the Brit versions. The story and acting and direction were above average. I enjoyed it.

Riveting and leaves you wanting more. Goslings performance is something to talk about and oscar Isaacs first breakout movie is a memorable one. The show stealer is of course Bryan Cranston and he is everything you want out of him.
