Critics Consensus

Executed with little panache or invention, Dragonball Evolution lacks the magic that made the books upon which it was based a cult sensation.

Dragonball: Evolution is my least-favorite film of all time. I hate it with every fiber of my being. If you were ever curious about the show Dragon Ball or the manga... please, avoid this cinematic disaster at all costs. Go to Full Review

Mar 29, 2019 I don't know who the producer trying to appeal to. People who watched the anime will incredibly disappointed. People who never watched the anime will think this is super cheesy and silly. See more
Luke G Mar 17, 2019 Oh my god!, this was absolutely horrendous. Not only does it serve as a complete insult to anyone who loved the manga, but it was much more terrible that we could've possibly imagine. With some of the worst effects in movie history, terrible writing, really bad acting from everyone, disgusting directing from James Wong, and an extremely plot with many cliches. Easy to see why this is one of the most hated movies of all time. Overall rating: 0. See more
