With his beloved wife, Mirena (Sarah Gadon), Vlad has brokered a prolonged period of peace and ensured that his people are protected, especially from the Ottoman Empire. What to Know

Critics Consensus

Neither awful enough to suck nor sharp enough to bite, Dracula Untold misses the point of its iconic character's deathless appeal.

[Evans] carries Untold by admirably fulfilling the two essential functions of a period-movie hero: to enunciate comic-book dialogue with Shakespearean authority and to look great with his shirt off. Go to Full Review

By throwing out the traditional vampire conflict, Dracula Untold loses its intrinsic (and prurient) appeal without gaining anything valuable in the process. Go to Full Review

Don't get me wrong, this is by no means a good movie, nor is there much going on beneath it, but it's a thoroughly entertaining, fittingly dumb entry to a genre that is often devoid of entertainment value and more numb than dumb. Go to Full Review

Apr 13, 2019 If you fancy a McVampire cheeseburger, this is the movie for you. With plot devices so farcical it is hard to imagine the writers intended them seriously (a huge army marching blindfolded without ever once tripping over; the preposterous creation of black clouds to block out sunlight to allow daylight vampiratics; the slaughtering of an entire army by one man in the time it takes his comrades to pick up their swords; etc etc), when the computer generated bats stop swirling you realise that there is basically nothing to this movie beyond a single heavily derived plodding narrative. The ending is a further hilarious nail in the coffin of risibility. Perhaps one day someone will add CGI of Bill and Ted to the film so that we can at least have a sharper acknowledgement of just how truly hammy this McVampire burger of a film is. "Oh most excellent orchestration of feral bats, Mr Count Vlad - do you not agree, Ted?" "For sure, Bill, it was indeed a majestic exercise in bat sorcery." See more

Mar 18, 2019 Well done movie I could watch many times.
Poe R Mar 16, 2019 Visually appealing but, light on story. It was an enjoyable watch but, nothing terrifying and lacking depth.
Finn W Mar 14, 2019 Fun movie, lots of action looks great.
